Sari Eckler Cooper C.S.W. is President and Founder of Video Legacies®. Having been a well-recognized individual and family therapist for many years, she is well aware of how powerful it is for people to hear the stories associated with their history, personal or professional.

She is a director, editor and producer who has created many video biographies since Video Legacies® was founded in 1999. She is also a licensed psychotherapist who graduated as a family therapist at New York’s prestigious Ackerman Institute for the Family. Her many years as a therapist has given her the expertise needed to get people to feel comfortable and eager to tell their story.

Sari Eckler Cooper has been involved in conducting oral history interviews for the Columbia University’s Oral History Research Project regarding the September 11th attack on the World Trade Center. Through her keen artistic eye, she produces videos that incorporates thorough and sensitive interviews with old photos, titles, music, old footage, as well as heirlooms and documents.

She is focused on the details of every project, overseeing production, communicating with clients, preparing subjects, researching the project and acting as a liaison with the production team. Sari Eckler Cooper is a member of The Association of Personal Historians, and The Oral History Association.
